Koperasi Penternak Burung Walit Malaysia Berhad

The Malaysia National Birdnest Cooperative-Society (Koperasi Penternak Burung Walit Malaysia Berhad), with the registration number P-6-0601, was established in 2012. It consists of members from the Malaysia Birdnest Ranchers Association (Persatuan Penternak Burung Walit Malaysia) with the registration number 1294-12-PPG. The primary mission of this cooperative is to prioritize consumers by ensuring that all its products under the brand trademarks of Kowalit® and ebn® are safe and of the highest quality. The cooperative was founded by individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a common passion and knowledge about providing the best bird’s nest products to consumers.

Koperasi Penternak Burung Walit Malaysia Berhad’s birdnest processing facility is located in Lunas, Kedah, began processing edible bird’s nest back in 2015. It is the only birdnest processing facility in Malaysia with an accredited cleanroom Grade ‘D’ processing area, which ensures the safety and high quality of its products. All Kowalit® bird nests processed in the factory are free of additives and chemicals and are required to meet strict safety and quality standards to ensure that consumers receive the best quality clean edible bird’s nest. The selection process adheres to rigorous internal standard operating procedures to ensure the bird’s nest’s high quality cleanliness and to preserve its nutrients, especially the protein and Sialic Acid. Additionally, the processing of edible bird’s nest must meet various standards, including HALAL JAKIM, HACCP, GMP, MeSTI, and Veterinary Health Mark, to enhance customer confidence and trust in the product.
